September is here and school is back in session! Last year’s school year was difficult and terribly stressful for the kids, parents and especially the teachers. Virtual classrooms and parents trying to help by becoming the teacher’s assistant was the reality that everyone faced last year. But now the kids will be back in school buildings and hopefully get back to some normality!
In preparation for the first week of school, I felt it would be thoughtful to give back to those hard working teachers and help start off the new school year right with a back-to-school gift. For this teacher gift, I wanted to make sure that the whole gift could be helpful in the classroom, even the packaging, so I started with the Sterilite File Crate as my base.
The File Crate is a perfect storage solution for classroom organization. It not only serves as a cute way to package your gift, but the crate itself can be used in multiple ways!
- You can flip the crates on their sides and interlock them to keep them secure, which creates a great bookshelf solution
- The crates also hold file folders so the teacher can keep papers and documents organized
- Lastly, what teacher doesn’t love a good DIY Crate Seat?!
Now pick some thoughtful essentials and fill up the File Crate! Below is what I included, but pick out items that you think your teacher will appreciate most!
- White board markers
- Starbucks gift card
- Post it notes, pens, highlighter
- Lysol wipes, hand sanitizer
- Tissues
- Gum/Mints
- Chocolate/candy treats
- Lotion
A nice added touch to your teacher gift could be some personalized labeling on some items and some colorful tissue paper to make it a little bit more fun! Whatever you chose to put together will most certainly put a smile on your teachers face. Have a happy and safe school year!
